Story of the year è un gruppo Punk rock/Screamo formata originariamente a
St. Louis nel 1996. Inizialmente la band si chiamava Big Blue Monkey, ma
cambiarono il loro nome in Story of The Year poiché un gruppo blues aveva
già il nome di Blue Monkey.
La band ha registrato qualche demo dopo la propria formazione e dovrebbe
aver registrato anche qualche EP. Comunque non hanno pubblicato il loro
primo album, Page Avenue, fino a settembre 2003. Page Avenue ha ad oggi
venduto più di 500,000 copie in tutto il mondo.
