I Metal Church sono una band thrash metal formatosi nel 1981 a Seattle, Stati Uniti e tuttora in attività. I critici sostengono che questa, è una delle poche band soppravissute ai primi movimenti grunge che colpirono Seattle già dai primi anni '80 e ad aver mantenuto un sound sempre fedele, come il thrash metal/speed metal. Il gruppo si è formato nel 1981 a Seattle, USA ed ha avuto tra i primi cantanti il grande David Wayne (deceduto nel 2005); mentre oggi continuano ad esibirsi e a produrre album con il loro terzo cantante. Il loro ultimo album (A Light In The Dark) appunto è uscito nel 2006 e contiene anche una nuova registrazione di "Watch the Children Pray", dedicata alla memoria di David Wayne.
